Biggest prints

After a few years of learning and printing practice i am finally printing big with some confidence. 20 x 16 in. I still have room to print the next size up, 20 x 24 in. But not today. So exciting! Its such a visually immersive scale getting your head up close to the prints image is lovely.

Thinking in reality

My wife jenny was telling my last night that dyslexics like me need time to stair out the window reflect and filter there learning to consolidate new ideas. Infact its what dyslexic minds do best and free play is how they best learn and find things out, by piecing from the onlookers point of view radom things into a full understanding of the world, we also like to write very long sentenses.
Well here i am being creative, having made more than a years preparation to make this shrink wrapped dreams project. Now randomly/more like haphazardly making a cube of boxes i must now fill seven of them with painterly and sculptural dioramas of the dreams you can not buy but can make happen. Doing this i feel ashamed in lately leading my son down a contorted path in aiding him to make remote control model sail boat. Insisting he make a boat properly this time and not watch him just make it up as he goes along but mold his direction and actions along a well warn path to a standard of workmanship and tried methods and outcomes. But after his day of full on conformity at school what i should be doing is just throwing materials and tech at him to aimless play with it and experiment. What i might think of as pointless results with no value or evidence of learning are in fact quite the opposite, the haphazardly made outcomes are actually evidence of a very real free thinking journey of intense learning for my wee boy of the greatest value to his development. Wow, now back to play time for me too!
